HEAT, HEAT, AND MORE HEAT

It. Is. So. Hot.

So far, 2010 has been a year of extremes: Extreme winter weather, extreme Olympics, extreme summer heat, extreme World Cup--------that's all that comes to mind right now. :) But the heat is killing me! And yesterday, of all days, the air conditioning system in the downstairs was acting up. So we basically shut all the window blinds, brought down our fans, and prepared for a very hot day.
We survived, obviously, but barely. Thankfully, a repairman came out and fixed our problem. THANK YOU AIR CONDITIONING MAN!!
Anyway, here are the remaining pictures from Williamsburg:

Random trees and wires

What is all that green stuff? I still can't figure it out......

My favorite fast-food joint.

Southern Virginia is just littered with these waffle houses.

One of Owen's books-----kind of gruesome.

One of my books. For all you young ladies out there, be sure to pick up this book!

Ah, an oldie but a goodie. My favorite Redwall book, and what a great cover!

Random blue truck.

Random truck-end and sign.

Why only 8 A.M. to 6 P. M.???? Why not until 8? That's when it gets dark!!

Love this store----and the sign is pretty cool too. =D

It's my dad's favorite place in Williamsburg.

I find it odd that this theater is never open.

A tourist trap.......

......but a good one!

Ah, my good friend T.J. I would have posed with him, but he was way too hot (lol, that became awkward).

The bodice of a beautiful dress from some fancy-schmancy boutique.

The rest of the dress--and my reflection.

One of my favorite places in Williamsburg.

My brothers' new shoes.
I don't think Owen's will stay white for long. :)

Aiden's snappy looking shoes.

A Williamsburg bench! (inside joke for the family)

Never been inside-----Mom says too many breakable things. ;)

Random map of Merchant's Square.

Some type of bush------boxwood, maybe?

Me: "Hey, look! A Williamsburg mailbox!
Dad and bros: ..........
Me: What? Not funny?
Dad: -shakes head- Not really.
Sighs. Somehow, I missed the funny gene.

A pretty tree in Merchant's Square.

What a beautiful sky!
-wink wink-

And what a cute shop!
-giggles and winks-

Okay-----the past two pictures were taken inside the Yankee Candle store.
What an amazing place.

No, that is not a fountain.
Our hotel pool was acting up, so they had to clean it. But I thought this made a rather nice shot.

My cup after being emptied of a delicious smoothie-slushie combo.

Another book. I wish American Girl had continued with the series!

The view from my chair.

Some lol Garfield jokes.

Love this!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I certainly am glad to be home. Hope you enjoyed the crazy pictures!
Love,

I still don't get the Williamsburg mailbox joke. But I'm sure it will come to me.

Love,
Dad

Remember when we were talking about the Williamsburg bench? Well, then I just pointed to a random item (in this case, it was a mailbox) and said, "IT'S A WILLIAMSBRUG MAILBOX!" Kind of weird and random, I know. But that's just me.

Now do you understand???
