soon will eventually be now

I've been trying to learn contentment lately. More specifically, contentment in staying home.

Y'all know me--I'm that girl who's happiest when she's in the car, with her family, driving to some place she's never been. I'm the girl who keeps up with the current prices of plane tickets {crazy, by the way} and occasionally visits tour guide websites. The girl who sighs whilst reading Facebook statuses and blog posts about trips to England, France, and Spain. Who wants to follow in Mom-mom's footsteps, accompanied by her soul sister. The girl who wants to see everything this world has to offer.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose.

-Ecclesiastes 3:1

 

But this girl {hey guys} also knows God is good, and He has a season for every thing I'll do in life. He's given me a dream of traveling, and I know He won't let that dream die. And while it's hard to say to myself, "Just wait a little longer," I believe waiting makes the prize even better. It's like waiting for anything in life, 'cept this dream takes a bit of money, involves a lot of planning, and will be a totally new experience.

Soon is my new favorite word. Soon I'll have my driver's license. Soon I'll have a real job. Soon I'll be an adult. Soon I'll be old enough to date. Soon I'll be traveling the world.

Ah, what a thought.
