No snazzy title for today....sorry

hehe, I totally stole 'snazzy' from Lauren. Sorry girl. ;)

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1. So spring started yesterday, right? And today we are having our very first thunderstorm!!!!! *happy grin* I love thunderstorms......they're so loud and beautiful.

2. I get my braces off in exactly one week!! Ugh, so excited. Of course, my mom reminded me that I'll still have to wear a retainer......which did put a little damper on my high spirits. Any advice from you all with your braces off?

3. I've decided that this summer, I will read as many Nicholas Spark's novels as I can. I feel so un-girlish for having not read any of his books yet!!! Any recommendations?

4. Also, I'm going to spend some time reading Daphne du Maurier novels. My grandma has almost all of them, so I'll be raiding her collection. btw, in case you didn't know-----Ms. du Maurier wrote The Birds, that really creepy story about the birds in England going crazy. Still haven't seen that movie.

5. What a tiring weekend! I had a tournament in Baltimore......and two 8:00 AM games. Needless to say, I am not a morning person. Oh yeah, and our games were played at some polo grounds. *angry face* 'Twas muddy and bumpy and so not soccer-player-friendly.

6. On a happier note.......I happened to find this amazing blog. Stephanie had awarded me with the Stylish Blogger award {thanks girl!} and so I clicked on her link. I've only 'known' her for a few hours...but I can already tell we have a ton in common. Be sure to check her out---she's a great girl.

7. I updated my 'About Me' page. Feel free to browse through, and be sure to leave a comment if you have anything in common with me!

8. Jocee had this really cool post about a dream she had recently. Go read......it's quite hilarious. I'm in it, which made me pretty happy. ;) Love ya, Jocee!!!!
Happy Monday,

Oh mah gah! We have these in common:

When I'm nervous/bored/tired, I bounce my right knee. [NO LIE] Math is my least favorite subject. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I love Him, for He first loved me. Window seats, sunshine, and old books make me happy. I am homeschooled. Guys confuse me so much. I use the words like, totally, and really a lot. Audrey Hepburn, Martin Luther King Jr., and C.S. Lewis all inspire me. Puppies and kittens are two of the best gifts God gave to us. I don't pay much attention to 'fashion,' but I dearly love clothes shopping. I'm scared of the dark. [Well I am scared of what is IN the dark actually. I hate people who are stuck-up.] I am an extremely loyal person. Once you become my friend, I will love and defend you forever.

All of those we have in common! Eeep, you are mah soul-sister, girl!! =D xo.

I love thunderstorms too! Unfortunately we don't really ever have them in Montana. :'(

Yay for getting your braces removed! Here's what I know from my experience: If you can get a bonded retainer on your front 4-6 bottom teeth then do! I wished my ortho had let me get one on my second go round. I know it made a huge diff for me on the first go round. But some orthos are against them so it all depends on what he/she says. :)

♥a walk to remember (much beautiful in the book than in the movie)
♥message in the bottle (may be a li'l boring but still beautiful)

WHAT ABOUT TED DEKKER?!?!?!?!

OKay, so Anna is the onw who got me reading Nicholas Sparks.
He has some happy books...
and some books that will have you crying a week later.

The Last song and Dear John were the best. The Last Song is happy and Dear John is tragic. I've also read A Walk To Remember. *bawling*. But still a very good book. :)
The Notebook... of course, its also good.

That's all I've read... I need to consult with Anna about what book to buy next.

But I think you should read Ted Dekker. :)

xx,
Bleah

I agree with Bleah, WHAT ABOUT TED DEKKER?!?!!?!?!?!
I just finished The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. *sobbing and starts talking in teenage dramatic voice* IT WAS SOOOO GOOD!! I would read everything Bleah recommended. She just took the words out of my mouth.
A tournament? I hate getting up in the morning for events. It drives me nuts. I'm a night person, I guess that's why.
LOL, I'm glad you enjoyed my dream!!! Love you too :))

Ha!! Your title totally provoked a humongo smile from me the moment I saw it, haha!
And ooooh my goodness, I positively love thunderstorms. They make my heart sing with joy <3
And you should definitely read A Walk to Remember! I know you like the movie, but you will LOVE the book a million times more than the movie! At least, I know I do :) There are just so many precious moments in the book that aren't included in the movie...*sniffle*

Love ya!!
Lauren :)

the last song is one of my favorite books of all time, so i definitely recommend it. next i would read a walk to remember, to get you used to being sad. then dear john, then the notebook. or that's what i would do if i had to read them over in a certain order :)

and as for the braces, you'll be licking your teeth for a month or so. after that, you are so deliriously happy you'll want to take a gazillion pictures. and then you're just like, "oh. braces are gone." haha, or at least that's the way it went for me ;)

<3,
anna :)
