Father's Day and sunglasses

This year, Father's Day kind of snuck up on me.

My family wasn't really prepared to give Dad a gift (sorry!) until Father's Day.



Don't we just sound like such a caring, loving family? ;)



But Dad was happy with his gift, and we were all very happy with his choice for dinner: Texas Roadhouse.



Can you say, to quote Rachel Ray, "Yummo?!?"



Of course, Father's Day isn't really about getting your dad something, or even taking an excuse to go out to dinner. No, Father's Day is something special-----a day where you can tell your dad how much you love him, without feeling too awkward.



So, even though it's a little late, here's a little award to my dad:

In addition to being a great soccer coach, role model, and friend.

Yes, that is my little bubbsy, Samwise Gamgee. And yes, those are my sunglasses (just $5.00 at Payless!!!!).
We were just about to leave for Texas Roadhouse when I had a sudden moment of brilliance: What better way to show off my new sunglasses to my faithful followers than on my beautiful Bichon Frise????? This picture is now my computer background, so I can always see my Sammy wearing my sunglasses. LOL! =)
