WE ARE VICTORIOUS

No, I'm not talking about a Muse song (love them!).

No, something more important: USA's battle against England.

Of course, we didn't beat England last night in the World Cup, but a tie is great, considering the powerful bench England has. Here are some players from that lineup, just to name a few:


Wayne Rooney
Frank Lampard
Peter Crouch
Steve Gerrard (scored goal)


Some of the best players in the world are on that squad! Rooney is arguably one of the best forwards in the world. Then, you have some of our big-name players:


Clint Dempsey (scored goal)
Tim Howard
Oguchi Onyewu
Landon Donavan


Not as well known, right? But we still managed to tie England, 1-1.

Sure, our goal was off a flub by England keeper Robert Green, (poor guy) but we did manage to hold them off for the rest of the game.


Also, their biggest star, Wayne Rooney, was held in check by Onyewu and Jay DeMerit the whole game. And that really isn't an easy task. =)


So, I am rather pleased with how our Yanks did in a fierce battle against the Brits. Hopefully our games against Algeria and Slovenia will result in three points!!!
