Earth Day..................really?

Just heard on the radio that this is 'Earth Week' and that Thursday is 'Earth Day.'

Can you hear me screaming?

Of all the things ridiculous in the world we live in, I think Earth Day is up pretty high on that list. I wouldn't mind so much if people were praising God and thanking him for creating Earth, but no: they're praising Mother Earth or whatever. It gets on my nerves.
Then this morning I found this verse from Psalms: The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. (Psalm 24)
See my point? Since God created the earth, we should be praising Him. Not Mother Earth, a fictional figment of a person's imagination.
So yeah, go green and all that, but just remember who really created the earth.
