The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good. (Ecclesiastes 9:17-18)
The Bible really puts an emphasis on wisdom. Countless times the power of wisdom is mentioned.
But in this fast-paced, high tech world, it seems to me that wisdom, true wisdom, has sort of drifted to the side. Sure, we have people who know everything about computers or iPods or whatever, but we don't usually see the wisdom heroes from the Bible had.
For people nowadays, brute force is better than wisdom.
Kind of sad, no?
