My dog has a Napoleon complex

For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61)

No matter how rocky the soil is, or how tangled the root system is, God can still make something beautiful grow from the gardens of our souls.

Now, on to this morning. :)

My bichon frise has a Napoleon complex. Big time.
This morning we went for a nice walk. Our next door neighbors have two labs, so we try to avoid them as much as possible. The labs are very sweet, but Sammy..........he's not as sweet to them. So we continued walking and met up with Tigger the pug and his owner (I have no idea what this woman's name is, though she's lived right down the street for the past eight years!). Since Tigger is smaller than Sammy, he doesn't mind him. They smelled each other while Tigger's mom and I chatted. Then, from behind us, came a little black and white dog with her owner (this woman I have never seen before, so obviously I don't know her name). The dog had a multi-colored sweater on. She looked like a cross between a Shih Tzu and some sort of spaniel. So she comes up, barking, while Tigger and Sammy just look at her. Finally she calms down and the three dogs start smelling each other again. The lady explained that she had adopted Jazzy (The Shih Tzu/spaniel) about three years ago. She continued to say that Jazzy is fine around small dogs, but big dogs (i.e., labs) drive her crazy. Tigger's mom said the same thing happens to her other pug, Winnie (get it? Winnie and Tigger?) and I mentioned that it's the same with Sammy! How annoying. So we chatted for a few more seconds, but then Tigger relieved himself in a neighbor's yard. His mom went over to clean up, Jazzy and her mom walked on, and Sammy and I headed home.
So, my dog has a Napoleon complex. Great.
